Experienced GM here, having run multiple campaigns in D&D and Shadowrun, but I'm having a hard time cracking the nut that is Champions Complete. I feel like if I could get a character generated (for reference purposes), all the other quirks of the system should start to fall into place, but the process seems a little more freeform than I'm used to...
Could someone please point me towards any resources directed at people new to Champions Complete or offer any insights of their own? I like the look of this game, but it hasn't proven to be very user friendly so far....
Edit: Thanks so much for all the helpful suggestions! I finally got a character down on paper... It turns out I was overthinking things: I started by actually making a template to represent a character pre-superpowers, then used CP to then them into a hero. Once I actually starting getting number onto paper, things started falling into place surprisingly quickly. Thanks again, everybody, for all the insights!
